Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): At 9:30 pm on May 31, 2022, a traffic accident occurred when an unidentified Chinese man was drunkly driving a luxury car quickly, hitting a tuktuk, and continuing to drive away until he crashed his car in Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

Prior to the incident, a drunk Chinese man was seen driving a white luxury car with license plate Phnom Penh 2Z-2508, driving along the Russian Federation Road from east to west at high speed. When he arrived at the scene near the flyover on January 7, he oversteered and hit a tuktuk, then continued to drive forward and crashed into the road divider, causing one of the wheels to break. The car then came to a halt, and the drunk driver crawled out of the car and went to sleep by the roadside, much to the astonishment of the bystanders.

After the incident, the traffic police came down to examine the vehicle and stored it at the Land Traffic Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police to wait for the driver to sober up.

Perhaps we could start identifying the reporter in these articles, to ascertain who has simply had enough of foreigners in general, and who may be a little more anti-Chinese?
