Royal D drink
Re: Royal D drink
Not sure what you expect it to be. It's meant to be an oral rehydration solution, and fits that bill.armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 10:06 am I took a close look at the ingredients label of this drink made in Thailand.
It contains generous quantities of sugar and salt.
Citrate, which is prescrition only in the USA.
Very small amounts of Viramins B1, B2, B6, C. Miniscule amounts of potassium, calcium.
I hope it tastes good because it doesn't have much else going for it.
You're a funny guy, looking at the ingredients. In Thailand, of all places.

Yeah Royal D is pretty poor quality and not great for rehydration or your teetharmchairlawyer wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 10:06 am I took a close look at the ingredients label of this drink made in Thailand.

I like dioralyte or Orasel instead - they use glucose, sodium chloride, potassium chloride and a few other things - not as disgustingly sweet or sticky as the D
Re: Royal D drink
Either way they do the job effectively, rehydrating the body from the person who takes the product. Also, being quick and efficient, better than seeing people on the back of motos with a drip.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Re: Royal D drink
But how much vodka or whisky would you put in ?armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 10:55 amYes, useful if you've had a severe bout of diarrhoea . Or you could just chuck some salt and sugar into a glass of water I suppose.John Bingham wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 10:40 am The orange one is vitamin C. The other flavors are electrolyte. Of course it's going to have sugar and salts in it. It's good for rehydration.

Re: Royal D drink
I once tried a pre-emptive strike against a hangover by drinking double vodka mixed with royal d and soda for my nightcaps before leaving the pub and knowing I had work in the morning
It had perhaps the opposite of the desired effect

Speaking as a doctor, I can assure you the best thing for diarrhoea is drinking draft beer. The best cure for diarrhoea is not drinking draft beer for 24+ hours.Chad Sexington wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 11:04 amI am in no way, shape or form a doctor, but I suspect you’d already have the shits if you had diarrhea.armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 11:00 amWhy would that give you the shits?Chad Sexington wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 10:59 amYou could, if you want the shits and a foul taste in your moutharmchairlawyer wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 10:55 amYes, useful if you've had a severe bout of . Re: Royal D drink
How do I buy shares in Royal D?
Everyone agrees it's made of sugar and salt and not much else and so many like it.

Re: Royal D drink
The orange one has exactly the same ingredients as the other flavours that are marked up as electrolytes it just has some extra added vitamins.John Bingham wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 10:40 am The orange one is vitamin C.
