The boss fires a shot at his chef “for making a mistake” then boss then drives off and the chef goes straight back to work.
Is a ‘warning shot’ the Khmer equivalent of a verbal warning? Perhaps a shot in the leg or shoulder for a final warning, and one in the back of the head for instant dismissal.
Only in Cambodia?

Re: Phnom Penh Club Owner Fires Gun at the Staff
So the competent authorities don’t arrest the owner, the one who did the attacking and fired the shot, and instead shut down the club where the victims all depend on their jobs to make a living?
Are they punishing the right people?

But if the owner goes to jail then the place closes anyway. He's the one who pays the staff after all.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 1:21 am So the competent authorities don’t arrest the owner, the one who did the attacking and fired the shot, and instead shut down the club where the victims all depend on their jobs to make a living?

You’d hope the income pays the wages of the staff, otherwise it’s not really a business.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 1:33 amBut if the owner goes to jail then the place closes anyway.
