Cambodia News(Phnom Penh): On 20 May 2022, a cement truck hit the gate of Wat Trapeang Chhouk due to careless driving, and caused it to completely collapse. However, when the police intervened to arrest the driver of the truck for questioning, the boss of the cement truck company ordered the driver to drive the truck towards the police and run them down.

This outrageous incident happened at 3:30 pm at Wat Trapeang Chhouk, Chak Chrouk Village, Sangkat Samrong Krom, Khan Por Sen Chey.
Sources from the scene said that the incident happened when a white cement truck was passing through the Trapeang Chhouk pagoda but carelessly ran into the pagoda gate, causing it to collapse and be completely destroyed.

Authorities immediately arrived at the scene to facilitate discussions between the monks and the driver. However, upon seeing the arrival of the police, the driver drove the truck away from the scene. The police immediately chased down the truck, but the driver was ordered by his supervisor to run over the police officers. Fortunately, no one was injured.

However, sources at the scene said that the truck supervisor came out of the truck and violently attacked the police. The police then used due force to arrest the man and took him to the Po Sen Chey district station to be dealt with according to procedure.

I wonder what procedure the police use back at the station for someone like this.
