Transit Passengers what do they need

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

its only 650 baht, (less than $20)
buit agree, what a waste of $20
1300 baht return.

The word 'only' seems a contradiction from a self insured person.
why? i would not get any insurance UNLESS it was required, ( i had to have it last year to enter Cambodia) < same goes for vaccines>
You had your hepatitis shots, polio shots and so on because they forced you to?

Yes, trolling ...
not trolling at all;
Not you, me.

one_dolla wrote: Sat May 07, 2022 9:30 am ONE of the options from the Thai Pass web site an insurer DOES cover from 1 to 85 years old FWD .....but you have to take out the insurance 14 days before flying otherwise your supposed to get a negative pcr test less than 72 hrs before flying. thats around $20 for the insurance. If you do not get the PCR and make a claim...they want to see the PCR test....

the only one I have found is 74 Euros from https://www.mondialcare.eu/insurance-world-travel ..which appears to tick all the boxes but the friend I am trying to help seems to think his Dutch health insurance will cover this and his daughter was looking into this ( I very much doubt this is the case)
I think they will cover, but only up to the cost they would spend when he got ill in the Netherlands.

He / she needs a statement from the Dutch insurance company they cover COVID-care abroad. They might ask for additional premiums. If they don't issue it he / she needs additional insurance to transit in Bangkok, or transit though another airport not requiring it, for instance Singapore. This is not a case to be stubborn about. Tell you friend. Without proof of insurance, or when in doubt, they won't let anyone board the plane. They won't take the risk of having to fly people back and forth free of charge in case of denial at Bangkok.
I had alreadytold him all that he was trying to sort out something from the Dutch site with his daughter last night that they or rather I could print off here showing it covered Coivd when travelling...otherwise all he has on that front is a bank card sized insurance card in Dutch... very little chance that would get accepted.
Despeite trying for the Dutch info he was happy to go for the Mondial insurance ...but neither of my Bank cards or his Dutch one would work, I was able to confirm with my bank its not our issuse must be something at the French end... It looks like he might be cancelling or moving the flight a few weeks down the road.....then it would easy to get FWD (or FDW) transit insurance through the Thai pass people ...as long as its taken out 14 days before flying no need for preflight pcr and it covers from 1-85 year olds...or he might just go back to my original suggestion in early April and fly via Singapore.....but I will be trying the French payment again shortly...

neither have any health insruance....I sm trying to contact the airlines...
Then they can buy a useless Thai COVID insurance for the hours they spend @ Bangkok airport.

The above info is not valid if one is over 66 year old.
Which part is invalid for what kind of person over 66 years of age transiting at Bangkok airport under the current conditions?
insurance companies will not accept customers above 65 years of age. I got mind from IMG and it's not cheap.
