Went to get my visa converted today.
Paid $150 for the conversion and $290 for a year. No overstay fine...

So you entered on a Tourist Visa back in 2020 and were still able to convert to an E-type Visa EOS now? Based on those prices I'm guessing was via a Visa agency. Care to share details because there are a lot of you in the same boat.

I think no one would grumble at paying the initial $150 for the conversion, more so due to only paying $30 for up to a 2-year stay. Good value all in all.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
