Telegram not working

Is there something wrong with Telegram messenger?

I have 4 messages to different people showing 1 tick, meaning sent but not received.

Or have I just been blocked en masse?

1 tick is sent
2 ticks is message read

Only one tick means that the sent message in the Telegram cloud and your friend has been notified of the sending of the message or of the messages from you. Obviously if the person has the notification activated, otherwise he doesn’t hear the notification, but he see the number of the messages received from you.

Two ticks means that the message has been read. This means that your friend has opened Telegram, and also, he has opened the chat with you.

Having said that, WhatsApp is different. The have 1 tick, two ticks and then they become coloured when they have been read. Is that correct?

On the desktop version if you click on the double tick you can see a list of people who have read your post.

Not sure about WhatsApp (don’t use it tbh) but I think messenger has 3 indicators
