Body Found Floating in Russey Keo, Phnom Penh

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 3:00 am on April 23, 2022, the unidentified dead body of a man was found floating in the Mekong river in the area of Sangkat/Khan Russey Keo in Phnom Penh.

Police have yet to determine the cause of death.

Shock among residents after discovery of dead body in water

The body of a man was found floating in the water next to a tourist boat on the riverbank in one of Phnom Penh’s districts.

The body was discovered at Khleang Saing Village, Sangkat Russey Keo, Khan Russey Keo.

The body was identified as a male in his 30’s wearing grey jeans, a short-sleeved T-shirt and a black and red plaid shirt. The corpse was beginning to decompose already by the time it was discovered.

There were speculations that the body was of a man who committed suicide by jumping off the Chroy Changva bridge on April 18. The man was reported to have driven a motorcycle to the bridge and leapt of the bridge.
