the 7/11 invasion begins outside PP

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Stopped between PP and Kampong Cham about a week ago and right next to the restaurant was a gas station with 7/11 and Pizza Company and Dairy Queen.

Made the walk over and bought a bag of chips for $2.20 and a fanta for .55. they had Big Gulps available and it looked pretty much similar to a Thai 7/11 just with a smaller selection (not that I'm the expert on Thai 7/11's). Personally, I was happy to see it and and was happy to be eating something other than rice during the break.

I'll 2nd the above, went in one on street 19 and 130> they even had Spurpees ( which have not been in the phuket 7/11's for years)
Saw Ben % Jerry ice cream, but no thanks at those prices!!!!
even had the microwave sandwiches>
NOTE
prices for all goods i checked were a 60-100% more than thailand and contrary to what they said, that they would carry 40% Cambodian goods, did not really seen but a few
i love formost chocolate milk small bottle in thailand was 25 baht, ( apx $.80) Cambodia $1.70<

On a side note, 1st time in PP in over 5 months, prices seem to have gone up.

Just tried the one on 136/13. Poky place. Stock pretty limited. Did have a decent range of puff pasties, ready to eat. I had a tuna one at $1.30. Also doing the hotdogs and ready to eat noodles (Circle K tried this and failed dismally), so should be a winner. But for general supplies, the range is far better across the road at Smile.
