Thai Drunkard Trashes Thai Shop in Poipet

Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey Province): According to the report, a Thai man was arrested while drunk for disorderly behavior and destruction of property, and was sent to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court on April 12, 2022.

According to the report, the suspect was named Chakrit Webbour, alias Chen, a 27-year-old male (Thai) resident. In Kbal Spean village, Sangkat-Poipet city.

Colonel Men Phirum, Deputy Commander of the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Gendarmerie, said that they received a complaint from Visanu Bunpama 43-year-old male (Thai national, owner of Banh Teuk Market shop) accusing Chakrit Webbour, also known as Chen, for allegedly vandalizing shop property, causing damage and breakage at 10pm on the evening of April 10, 2022.

He confirmed that immediately after receiving the complaint, the Poipet City Military Police intervened to arrest the suspect, who said that the reason he destroyed the property in the store was because he was drinking in the shop with his girlfriend, and he got so drunk that he started to pull items off the shelves in the shop and break them on the floor for no reason.

Colonel Men Phirum confirmed that after the arrest of the Thai suspect accused of vandalizing property he was sent to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court for legal action.
