We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 8:00 am on March 28, 2022, on Street 217, Khva village, Sangkat/Khan Dongkor, the rear wheels of a Cambodia Beer company broke off of its Hyundai truck (PNH 3A-3147) causing the truck to topple over and spill beer all across the street.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident. Immediately, the traffic police arrived to help ease the traffic and control the situation to prevent opportunistic people from helping themselves to the beer from the truck.

Great to see the competent authorities doing their thing to get dangerous vehicles off the road, I for one am very happy to have my vehicle checked every year and pay my hard earned cash to make sure I've done my bit.

My guess is that the rear differential/axle housing has been modified. It’s possibly been changed out (not a straight replacement, but a part from a different model/type of vehicle) and required cutting and re-welding to be either shortened or lengthened to fit.
One of the new welded connections has failed, it looks like it was only partially welded, you can see on the broken edges, the silver grey colored areas are were it was welded, the dirty brown area was not welded.
