The segway analogy was perfect really... remember when those were going to revolutionize how we get around?
This presentation is weak at best.

- People freak out when trying it because it is too real: The video of people who "freak" out are of first time user usually with close to zero knowledge of computer and gaming ( title of the video should be " freaking out old people with VR").
The WOW effect is mainly for the first usage, after you get used to it, some first time VR user also complain that their experience was nowhere as realistic as what those video lead to believe.
- Scientist told us that the brain is not able to make the difference between virtual and real. I pass on the none referenced citation which I can only assume has been taken out of context and widely misinterpreted.
This fear is very old, as long as video game exist in fact, even with the NES news guy told us that it was terrible the kid will be lost on a fantasy world, and simulation of violent acts would automatically lead to real violent act.
If on the other end you read the review of gamer or simple user you will see that the main preoccupation is to increase the sensation of reality, because with what is presently available (DK1 and DK2) we are not there yet by a wide margin).
- Some of you will get sick.
Here again total zero knowledge of VR.
For the example of the fight simulator : You might feel sick or can be subject of dizziness because your eyes told you, you are moving when the body sensation tell you you are not, this effect is mainly for beginner as thousand are playing racing , space fight and simulator without being sick.
The main reason for dizziness with VR is not that it is too real it is that it is NOT real enough. Namely if the refresh rate is not high enough, if the latency is too high or if the resolution is low you will get see sick/ unconformable ,ect
- It is not because you are a good gamer in 2D that you will be a good gamer in 3D. In fact false, this in fact as been the subject of study for car racing. Good player at computer racing game will be better driver with real car than bad player. Even saw a game competition where the best where invited to drive real competition car afterward. Also true for the military, the US military even develop a FPS to train and recruit
- There is no controller yet. Yes true but that by no mean signified that interaction is impossible. In this current stat VR is perfectly suited for everything where you are seated in a close environment, like a car, a space ship or plane. FPS like alien isolation are working very well.

- gaming, gaming, gaming. This moron (sorry for the word but after 6 minutes of this I have no other words) do not even speak of anything else about gaming. What about other application ? Virtual desktop, design, social media, . Game are only the type of the iceberg. Why does he thinks that FB invest so much certainly not for dominating the game industry, the big hint about this being that presently after spending 2 billion did not so fare invest ANYTHING on the game development part.

PS : OD some game do not work in VR in particular the FPS where you have very fast action. This is suited for 2D but for VR anything where you have to move faster than you would in real life do not work. That why Alien isolation work, it is slow paced
