Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): The Prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on the morning of March 27, 2022, opened an investigation into the case of three criminals of Taiwanese nationality who were planning to transport nearly 600 kilograms of drugs out of Cambodia by sea to a third country.




On 21 March 2022, following the orders of General Neth Savoeun, National Police Commissioner, Cambodian drug forces swooped down and raided five sites in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville.
As a result, the police arrested 3 suspects:
1-ZHANG TONG SIAN, male, Chinese (Taiwan),
2-JIANG MING DA, alias ZHOUG JI QI, male, Chinese (Taiwan),
3-WANG LU LI, Male, Chinese (Taiwan) )


The authorities seized:
1 / Ketamine 510 kg 256 grams.
2 / Methamphetamine 1 kg 958 grams
3 / Ecstasy (MDMA) 51 kg 659.60 g
4 / Nimetazepam 20 kg 790 grams.
5 / FUB-AMB (cannabinoid) (NPS) 11 kg 754 g.
Total drugs weighing 596 kg, 417.60 grams
6 kgs of additional chemical products were also seized.
The suspects are currently under investigation by prosecutors.

I am also guessing that Taiwan was the origin.

They probably bought the drugs here, or from Lao, and/or produced some of it themselves. So, obviously, they are shipping to Taiwan...

That's where big profits can be made. For example, a kilo of sensi weed sells for 6,000 u.s. dollars in Taiwan, while its purchase price at source is only 500 u.s. dollars. So, these guys are probably doing the same thing: buying/producing on the cheap here, or from Laos, and Myanmar, and reselling for big cash where that stuff is really expensive... Taiwan... They are Taiwanese, after all...

There is also a chance, if Taiwan was not the destination, then it was China ...

As you can see, it was ready to be shipped to a 3rd country, so your Laos theory stands up.
