Where to buy air con remote?

I lost the remote for an ac unit made by Gree. Any idea where to find a replacement?

Inside Central Market in the electronics section there used to be a couple stalls selling every remote under the sun, no idea whether they're still there bit worth a shot.

Backpackers used to book cheap "fan only" rooms, which actually had air con in them but the remotes were taken away, so they could sneakily use the a/c.

Tried that also a few times..but the aircon unit was on a different power circuit and had no power at all if they would not turn on the (locked) switch at the mainboard. So having the remote only was useless.

I once travelled with a friend who just switched the power lines in the room, attaching the AC (which had a separate power supply) to the powerline feeding the room light and TV. He got a power shock and nearly killed himself. Never did it again.

There is a shop in street 125 near Orussey market south side that is an Aladdin’s cave of everything electronic, including a huge selection of remote controls.

They are all back and open now, I was there 2 days ago. Enter from the Street 130 entrance (ABA bank on the corner) and the stalls are on the left hand side.

That only works if your phone has an IR emitter. Most brands don't.

I dunno saw it done about 12 years ago & was impressed. Google implies no IR remitter is needed but I can't be assed to check if that means the device has to be connected to a network.

IR blasters seem to be the tech.
