I had was one problem parcel via USPS (USA) which was sent to the post office here & needed picking up, the usual shakedown on import tax etc. I don't mind the usual additional fee they throw on this end, but the pain of hanging around for ages for the package to be brought out, them opening it up to snoops around - wait another 15 mins for the tax guy to be available to randomly mash his calculator & point at some price sheet. It's a time thing for me more than anything.

The second parcel via USPS was lost in the US, so yeah, that's also a thing. Refunded by Amazon no drama, but the moment you see USPS, prepare for fun & games :D
Up to what value products are tax free?
I understand that personal imports under $50 are tax free. However, you better have an invoice stating the price paid, and make sure you get someone to sign it and get it rubber stamped - they like that sore of thing.
I regularly have 10kg of stuff shipped in from Europe by DHL (yes, expensive! EUR 165) but they seem to have a fast lane at customs in Cambodia and I never paid a single riel.

The parcel typically follows the Germany-Hong Kong route and custom's checks there often delay the delivery.
