Use an agent. I have learned the hard way that everything here is based on using agents. Suck up the small amount of extra commission you have to pay and save yourself the huge amount of headache, bureaucracy, red tape and general PITAness that trying to do things yourself will inevitably bring you.

1 in PP, 1 on arrival in BKK, 1 when your leaving BKK..and one more on arrival in PP.
Vietnam might become a better option if they reopen on March 15th as planned. I guess we'll know once they release the final details.
Well, the Vietnam news is not good, I'm afraid. I just updated my thread on VN reopening plans (to kill the tourism industry).

The Department of Immigration, it's opposite the airport on the right side of the road when driving towards the airport. In the compound, in the back, left side, there's a small office where you can make an attempt.

If you fail, you can try to extend your tourist visa for another 30 days. They can not deny that one.

You can apply directly at the DoI Visa Office in Pochentong for the official $30 fee, but it will also involve 2x return journeys out there so it will be less hassle to just use an agent.

Since 2020, yes, there are still people taking advantage of the exemption and there has still not been any announcement ending the exemption.
I came to cambodia in march 2020, got a 30 day extension, and then stayed until June, 2021, im now in Spain. Upon exit i didnt pay any overstay fees, as you may recall.
