Punk-monks are currently copy-stealing the Khmer-Tipitaka

Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

Punk-monks are currently copy-stealing the Khmer-Tipitaka

Post by Samana Johann »

It would be good for preventing cultur and religion, if people in charge, great leaders, would get informed and try to take measures to possible prevent such impact, as currently undertaking is made (https://discourse.suttacentral.net/t/he ... hmer/22954).

Leading is a 'monk' called Sujato (natural popular monk in the west, as worldly orientated and selling rebellion) with his guild of other 'former' punks and outsiders (of what ever gender varieties and specials) skilled in all kinds of 'hacking'. Since years they accumulate Dhamma translations for all over without being given in ways of Vinaya and run their political oppositions of traditions all over Asia. The group, especially the leader, Brahm, is expelled by his origin Sangha in Thailand. Most honorable Venerables in Sri Lanka as well as Burma, have already a hard, since already much more modern occupied in there areas, and squattering of culter and religion has already longer history. Sri Lanka, as they are eager in re-translating so that the Dhamma fits marxist/communist/pheudoliberal ideologies, currently works on protection by law of the Tipitaka.
To be clear on Vinaya: taking of what isn't given, worthy a hand of rice in war times or a pillow, cause a Bhikkhu no more being one. To take on trust, one must be a friend, he used to tell 'take what ever...', is happy about his taking, still alive. Countless similar thieves, including the means for it, had been already done. Rebuked: ignored.

Sadly a vietnamese (K. krom) group of monk brothers host the generously in years worked out transcription by a devoted without protection (and very likely like-minded as well) on ti-kh.org . And sadly Dhamma is also improper shared by 5000-years.org for livelihood, likewise unprotected.

As the prework (transcription and profread of 110 books! alone, nearly 6, 7 years) by devoted Upasika, now after many years, will be finished soon (she generously gave if as gift for the Sangha (https://sangham.net/km/tipitaka/book_index), and my person looks after it and works on further preperation, with of course very little means), it would be not only a great lose for her, but for many, as it would be simply used for politics and to oppose leaders, worldly and Sangha as well.

Just to get some ideas and taste of what's soon 'imported' by it's overtake and social unrest fire garanted (destruction of cultur religion and unity):

My person is pretty aware that common western pseudo-liberalism domains here as well, but thinks that some maybe smarter and responsible might bring it at good place to awareness. It's lesser thought as food for conceit-full and unwholesome discussions but an importand info, so that those wise and having possibilities could act as they feel it's proper.

May it be for long time peace and good prosperity, which requires great respect of the foundations of a community, nation, at first place.

Of course, good support from your community here, as a matter of gratitude and likewise respect, could be just for your long-term benefit as well.

(btw. the Nun, who asked, had been of course been given 'directly' for her welfare and to come home, yet sure there are bonds and strategies...

...and, my person trust that is welcome to 'ask for' of what he normaly not does. May nobody feel burdened by the request.)

As the chef thief usually uses uninformed lay people or corrupted nuns, maybe somebody likes to inform the possible expat Dylan Churchwell that the undertaking is not only a downfall transgression within the Vinaya but also against Cambodian Law, especially in regard of heritage, where actually a wise considered worldly set of rules of conduct is intact. My person does not part-take on social networks, google and co, and of course censured in all other ways within the squattering communities. Surely it's all but not easy in times where heritage belonging "land"-occupying is somehow normal.

It seems to get difficult to find any tradition for "rape" these days. He has succeeded. Not very well, but there are others running to that shitshow when they hear about it.
Punk rules, but why it has to be integrated with Buddhism?

As usually using naive, attracting with common marxist slogans 'property of everyone', and here even teenager (maybe partly Khmer parents), if one can reach out there, and warn him not to start his Buddhist journey by being guided by monks to steal, take without being given, such might be a way to get them a little to mind.

To keep updated. My person could reach out for the own of ti-kh.org, a Monk in Vietnam, who publishes for Dana. Getting direct urged he told to make proper protection. Not sure if letting go of asking for donations will be followed, yet.
As for "Dylan" my person could not reach for now. It's very possible that he might be a monk in disguise, in regard of what FB gives on a research.

What a compassionate, calm, and clear-headed monk our Johann is. Acknowledging the ever-changing nature of the universe in such a dignified way. Nothing but respect.
