Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the morning of March 3, 2022, the presiding judge of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, Mr. Horm Meng Se, decided to sentence two defendants to 30 years imprisonment and a fine of 50 million Riels each on charges of illegally storing, transporting and trafficking nearly 1 kg of drugs.
It should be noted that at 20:40pm on October 7, 2020, at the point of concrete road in Kantouk Cheung village, Phnom Penh, the Anti-Drug Department (A9) launched an operation to crack down on drug trafficking. They arrested 2 suspects in possession of almost 1 kilogram of methamphetamine wrapped as Chinese Tea.

During the crackdown, the police confiscated 10 packages of methamphetamine (ICE), 999.95 grams, 1 drug scales, 4 mobile phones and some packaging materials.
The two defendents were identified as Chhorn Makara, Male, 31 years old, from Phnom Penh, and Tem Jimi, male, 26 years old, from Kandal province. They have the right to appeal their sentences in accordance with the law.

First lesson to learn, don't buy Chinese tea, avoid it like the plague, Chinese tea is bad for your health. If the country was to ban Chinese tea packaging, I bet it would reduce the methamphetamine problem immediately.
These two will cry when ever seeing a Chinese tea bag, also they may get a pardon within the 30 years.
