Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey Province): A Thai man was found dead in the early morning at 4:30am on March 3, 2022 in the Crown Casino area in Kbal Spean 1 Village, Sangkat Poipet, Poipet City.
Poipet City Police Inspector Sao Saroeun said that the criminal police force of the Poipet City Police Inspectorate had received information from Mr. Soth Kosal, Assistant Director General of Crown Casino that an unidentified person had jumped from the 11th floor of the Crown Casino Company building.
Mr. Athikar continued that after receiving the information, the specialized police forces arrived at the scene to search for the identity and cause of death. He said "At 7:20 am, we searched through the security camera of the company and saw that the victim jumped to his death from the 11th floor of the building."
The victim was identified as Mesa Soyseng, male, 19 years old Thai national; Occupation: Marketing Assistant of Crown Casino Company.


After questioning two close friends of the victim, police discovered that since March 1, 2022, the victim was suffering from hallucinations, often seeing flying animals, or sitting alone in a catonic state, not talking or responding. On March 2, 2022, he was still in the same condition and the two of them were still watching him until 3 o'clock in the morning, when they unfortunately fell asleep and did not wake up until 9:25 in the morning on the 3rd to a knock on the door by the staff of the apartment building asking if anyone was missing.

This case, coordinated by the Deputy Prosecutor of Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court, Lim Bun Sopheak, has been ruled as a suicide.
The body was taken to the Pali Temple to wait for the family to take it home to Thailand.
