Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey Province): On February 27, 2022, the specialized force of the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Gendarmerie Command sent two gang members involved in a case of attempted murder and intentional damage to the Provincial Court for prosecution.

At 17:30 on February 25, 2022, there was a report of a knife attack on 18-year-old Thieng Thanon by six youths on two motorbikes. This case of attempted murder occurred at the entrance of O'Ambel High School in O'Ambel Village, Sangkat O'Ambel, Serey Sophorn City, Banteay Meanchey Province.
The arrested suspects are Heng Chamnan, alias Koka, 18, and Tang Kim Leng, 16, and police are searching for four other members of the Akaremki gang, which has been actively causing insecurity in Serei Sophorn.

Colonel Yan Sovann said that on 26 February, after receiving a complaint from the victim who received a severe knife injury on his right arm, he led his forces to the scene and conducted a search until the two suspects were arrested at different locations. The other four gang members escaped.
