As he say himself his blood type is more attractive as its harder to get....
He's type O, it's not harder to get - it's the most common blood type. It's more likely because it's the most useful as it can be used for transfusions to other blood types.
I'm certain that I have seen statistics showing that under 1% of the population in Cambodia has type O blood
Under 1% have A neg blood. Same in Thailand.

When are they finally going to do something about it?
Probably never because Sihanoukville city governor Y Sokleng said control of the Chinatown area was beyond his reach.

Depends if O+ or O-. Whereas O+ is quite common, O- is not but prized because it is a universal blood type that can be given to any blood type.

Yes, that's quite a statement. Makes you wonder what else is going on "outside local jurisdiction" at Otres/Dara Sakor, and whether those unidentified dead bodies that are found from time to time are not just the tip of the iceberg. :assasin:

It's O+ which is most common. Maybe the alleged victim was O - , that is about 1% here.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Chinese Man Says 58.com Job Ads Reason for Being Kidnapped as “Blood Slave”
February 18, 2022

Recent reports of a Chinese man from Jiangsu province who was kidnapped and used as a “blood slave” by a gang after he refused to participate in online fraud activities in the Cambodian city of Sihanoukville have shocked authorities and Chinese web users. A further detail in this harrowing case is that he attributed the incident partly to his blind belief in job advertisements on 58.com, a Chinese employment seeking website.

The victim, who has the surname Li, claimed that in June 2021, he was taken to Cambodia against his will. He was “resold” many times due to his refusal to join in an online fraud operation. He then had 1500ml of blood taken from him every month and a half, amounting to seven individual times since August last year.

On Wednesday night, the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia issued a notice on the case, saying that both country’s police are cooperating to carry out investigations and will strive to solve the case as soon as possible.

58.com responded to Jiemian News on Friday, expressing deep sympathy for the victim. However, at present, 58.com has not found any recruitment information referred to by the victim. The platform said it will fully cooperate with police to safeguard the rights and interests of users.

58.com was established in 2005, and its business covers various fields including recruitment, real estate, automobiles, second-hand products, local services and finance. As a classified information platform, 58.com’s revenue mainly comes from online marketing service fees and membership fees.

However, the platform has gone through some chaos in recent years. As early as 2018, reports pointed out that there were 60 fraud cases involving 58.com and a similar website Ganji.com discovered on China Judgments Online, among which 248 defendants were defrauded by the publication of false recruitment information. In addition, more than 5,500 victims were deceived into handing over nearly 100 million yuan ($16 million).

Cambodia job scam accusation brings backlash for 58.com in China
18 Feb 2022 02:22PM

BEIJING : Chinese online classifieds platform 58.com has come under heavy criticism in China after a Chinese national said he was tricked by one of its job advertisements to become the victim of a human trafficking ring in Cambodia.

The company, China's equivalent of Craigslist, told state media on Thursday it would cooperate with a police investigation in Cambodia although it had "not yet established" whether the fraudulent job advert had been on its platform.

On Wednesday, the Beijing Youth Daily published an interview with the man who said he had been trafficked last June after going to the southwestern region of Guangxi in response to a job advert on 58.com for work as a nightclub bouncer.

Narrowly avoided having his organs sold
Li told Beijing Youth Daily that his organs would have been sold if he did not manage to escape.

Li was merely regarded as a tool for making money, and since he was not able to produce blood any longer, Li said that harvesting his organs would be his captor's next move to milk and extract "value" from him.

SCMP reported that incidents like Li, where Chinese men have fallen prey and used as blood slaves, is not uncommon in Cambodia.

The Chinese embassy in Cambodia warned Chinese nationals to not fall for similar fake job advertisements in Cambodia through a statement on Feb. 12, which also urged Cambodian authorities to prioritise Li's case and hasten their investigations.

The embassy also sent staff to visit Li in hospital earlier on Feb. 15, according to the statement.
