QUARANTINE!?!?!?!?!?
Re: QUARANTINE!?!?!?!?!?
I assume he can just leave. I agree it would be comforting to get a human being on the phone to confirm that tho...
Assuming he can leave may be expensive if purchase ticket and he is stopped at airport but i don't think Cambodia is that sophisticated.. just go home.

Re: QUARANTINE!?!?!?!?!?
UPDATE: He managed to SMS someone and actually got a reply telling him that at the end of 14 days he has to go to Koh Pich to be tested.Username Taken wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 5:16 am Two weeks ago, my son tested positive to a pre-flight PCR test. He was told to go home and self quarantine for 2 weeks. They asked him to send a copy of his passport ID page, presumably to ensure he doesn't try to leave the country too early. Every few days he gets a call from someone (a bot, not human) asking if he has any covid symptoms, which he doesn't.
He did a RA test at home last Sunday and tested negative.
My understanding of the Khmer counting system is that his 14 days would have ended yesterday. Yesterday he got an automated call asking if he has any symptoms again/still. He has heard nothing about his quarantine ending, or doing a RA test and sending the result. Not a word.
When he tries to call the number that has been calling him about symptoms, all he gets is an auto-robot but no human.
How long do they plan on keeping people prisoner? Why?
This is getting extremely frustrating. Who ya gonna call? ffs!
Well, I guess that's something.
The stupid thing is though that he's been isolating out in the province away from everyone. So, now he has to travel to Phnom Penh/Koh Pich to get up close and personal with dozens of others waiting to be tested.
I really have to wonder if I'll ever see my kids again.

Re: QUARANTINE!?!?!?!?!?
suggestion.
do the test at home BEFORE. if negative
book ur ticket for the same day u go to koh pich
go to PP, test and fly out
do u need do a separate pcr test to fly out and arrive in Aus? or will the test at Koh Pich be ok?
it would really suck to pick it up at koh pich and delay leaving for a few days

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

For Aus an RA test will do, but it must be within 24 hours of arrival in Oz. But, does the test at KP give a test result that will be recognized by SIA?
What a mess travelling is nowadays.
Re: QUARANTINE!?!?!?!?!?
The test at Koh Pich won't give him the necessary documentation for travelling, they only contact people if they have tested Positive. He can get a RAT at the below places, results in about 30 mins with the necessary documentation accepted by airlines and countriesUsername Taken wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 4:09 pm For Aus an RA test will do, but it must be within 24 hours of arrival in Oz.
