Whiskey drinkers

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

That stupid plastic thing is there to prevent counterfeiting, it stops refilling empty bottle's. So you can be sure of getting the real stuff.

RE: counterfeiting. Can I be confident that the bottle I buy at Smile Mart or Super Duper is the real thing?

Probably!
I buy my premium whiskies at Che Deth (opp. Kandal Market) and Lucky Drink Shop (near Thai Huot on Monivong). Never had a problem. Cheers. Hic.
Shanghai bar used to use those suppliers. Don't know if they still do after the ownership changed.

Are you saying that counterfeiter don't have thier own platic thingy , I find that hard to believe.
Anyway I won't be buying any bottle I find with a plastic thingy twice. I'd prefer a fake corked bottle

I think he means the plastic insert makes it impossible to refill the genuine bottle with Cambodia's best quality hooch.
