Short-term Furnished Apartment stay
I’m looking for a clean and furnished apartment for two months, if that’s possible. There will be three people, including my old parents and I.
I usually stay at hotels when visiting Cambodia. However, there was one time I did rented a furnished house in Phnom Penh for three months. Since my parents are coming along, they want a place with a kitchen.
Ideally, they’re looking to pay between 350$ & 500$ a month for an apartment, preferably areas in BKK1, BKK2, Russian Market, or BKK3.
I’ve been looking and found several ideal apartments on different websites, however, the contract lease is usually 4 months or 6th months+.
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Cougar Hunter

Re: Short-term Furnished Apartment stay
You can try Airbnb. They are starting to show some of the endless condos on Russian Blvd and Olympic City. But they mostly have no reviews and are probably a bit too cosy for comfort. And they are priced over your budget.
Unless you get an offer from someone on this forum, I'd say the only way is to check into a hotel in your preferred area and get looking once you are here. Every street has for rent signs up. Some will only take 6 months+ but not all.
It's no good talking to agents as they won't earn commission on such a short let.

It's not easy, they don't really get the concept here and perhaps not the short time market. Another poster was looking recently and from his research his best bet was The Bridge for short term. It may've been Airbnb. You may wanna check it out.Cougar.hunter wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 1:20 am I’m looking for a clean and furnished apartment for two months, if that’s possible. Re: Short-term Furnished Apartment stay
You really need to prepare to pay bit more than that because now you try to get an apartment for short term with long term price.
I would think you are looking at least 2 bedroom apartments? Go through some airbnbs that are not too far from your budget, let's the pricing tool show below $1000 for a month rental. Then message those hosts and say you will stay 2 months, you can pay utilities, give me a good offer. Or then like armchairlawyer says, take a hotel for 3-4 days and just go through serviced condos around BKK1/2/3. Again you probably need to be willing pay some hundred dollars extra for such a short term contract.
