Siem Reap to Have another Museum
AKP Phnom Penh, December, 29, 2021 --
Siem Reap province will have another museum, named "Preah Moha Vimul Dhamma Pin Sem Reachbo" mainly to host Buddhism knowledge and artefacts.
The update was shared by the APSARA National Authority, adding that the construction of the museum will begin in early 2022 in Reachbo or Rajabo Pagoda with an estimated cost of US$900,000.
Once ready, it will stand as a Buddhism museum for peoples in the world to see Cambodia's art works related to Buddhism by Khmer ancestors.
The museum was initiated by Preah Moha Vimul Dhamma Serey Sovannor Pin Sem, Chief of Monks of Reachbo Pagoda.
Preah Moha Vimul Dhamma Serey Sovannor Pin Sem has been collecting and maintaining priceless Buddhism heritage of Cambodian ancestors since 1980.
The materials collected include Buddha statues, pottery and other artefacts made of stone, copper, bronze and beyond.
