Police urine drug test

I don't know how "normal" it is but I heard about this before I ever even got to Thailand, and that was more than two decades ago.

Few tourists, few fines with the motorbike ..
So they invent the drug test ... to earn two bucks.
This gives me a sense of insecurity, we hope to never meet dishonest cops.

Nah they were always like that in Thailand, well at least for the past 15-20 years. And its nowhere near 2 bucks, more like $1000 for carrying a joint.
