Don’t retire to Southeast Asia if….

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

probably the best place to be an alcoholic.
If you mean that all these meth-addicted women will look so beautiful that you'll forget to put a condom, you might be right.
But when your body will say "'enough", you might want to check-in in a responsible & affordable healthcare facility, and that's not around the corner.
From what I understand neither is it around the corner in the USA
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

That's unfortunate, and very weird for us Frogs, that such a country neglected this crucial aspect of life.

I have a reminiscent memory of a bunch of old Frogs freshly arrived sipping beers and talking loudly about their prospects of "eating pussy"etc at Disaster Central (Surya), i wonder how it worked, viagra-&-strokes-wise. Pretty sure they weren't taking all the parameters in mind, such as late ambulances & free-flow of counterfeit stimulants of various forms, scams & scum....Oh, and that virus thing since...so yeah, there is a clear concern with retirement far far away when entering a certain age...I wonder how long they lasted, didn't spot much in the RIP threads, so far...probably went home empty on all accounts, worn out.

Which leads me to another point : don't retire in SE Asia if you can only barely afford to go back home if unwell, unless your plan is a i-will-die-there-just-a-one-way-ticket-please, of course....Which isn't always the cream of expats.
The current social vibe + the current temperature in the homeland would probably finish them.

The few times i was there for a drink, alone as an observer, were much more instructive when pretending not to understand surrounding discussions...which were pretty much what i thought they would be.
