Cambodia News, Siem Reap: A 76-year-old British tourist, Alan Milne, was found dead in a Siem Reap hotel pool on December 17, 2021. At around noon police received a call informing them there was a dead man floating in Sophie Angkor Residence Hotel's swimming pool.

The deceased had been staying in the hotel for the past 3 months (local media says he was staying there from October 1 to December 1, which doesn't quite line up with when they found his body on December 17). Authorities concluded he must have had a heart attack in the pool and drowned; there were no signs of foul play.

Alan Milne's body has been sent to Phnom Penh Department of Technical and Scientific (Stung Meanchey) for a decision to be made by his embassy/family on what to do.
RIP.
