That's a shame. I loved the Monkees show when I was a kid. I still like a lot of their songs. At least Mikey Dolenz is still going.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Nesmith and Zappa
Frank Zappa made two appearances with The Monkees on television and film. In December 1967, Zappa filmed a spoof with Mike Nesmith that appeared at the start of the 57th episode of the series, "The Monkees Blow Their Minds".
He later made a cameo in the movie "Head" (a 1968 American satirical musical adventure film written and produced by Jack Nicholson and Bob Rafelson starring television rock group the Monkees) as 'The Critic.'

I may be going to hell in a bucket,
but at least I'm enjoying the ride.
