Cambodia News, (Battambang):On November 3, 2021, at Bavet Leu village, Bavet commune, Bavet city, Svay Rieng province, Lieutenant Colonel Chhoeung Kimsong, Chief of Minor Criminal Police Office, and Lieutenant Colonel Som Kovith, Deputy Chief of Battambang Provincial Police Office, led an intervention team to crack down on one case of extortion via Facebook and arrested the suspect, a transgender male presenting as female, Chhon Korina, 24 years old, resident of Bavet city, Svay Rieng province.

Please be informed that the reason for the arrest and arrest was that the above suspect used the Facebook account named Bona ta momo to post a picture of a beautiful girl more than a year ago until October 28, 2021. The suspect used chat tricks and asked the victim if he wanted to see his sexy bits. If he wanted to see the victim's sexy bits, then he had to take off all his clothes and take a photo of himself nude.
The suspect then threatened to extort money from the male victim, a male resident of Battambang province, totaling between $ 4,000 and $ 5,000 (US $ 1,000). In return, he said he will not publish the nude photos on social media , but if he does not receive the money, he will publicly publish all nude pictures of the victim.

Unable to bear to live under the threat of the suspect, the victim filed a complaint to the police to find the suspect and follow the law.
Through research and investigation, the authorities have been able to identify the target and build a case to search for arrests up to Svay Rieng province.
