Cambodia News (Bavet City) On Thursday, 2 December 2021, the General Department of Immigration annouced that having coordinated with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Phnom Penh, they have repratriated 40 Vietnamese nationals, including 13 women, for trespassing the Mok Bai International Border Guard Post in Vietnam and for residing in Cambodia illegally.
The deportation was handled by the Bavet International Border Police in cooperation with the Svay Rieng Provincial Police, led by Brigadier General Thong Vannak, Deputy Commissioner for Immigration Planning.

Cambodia deports 143 Thai illegal migrant workers

Cambodia has deported 143 Thai illegal migrant workers yesterday.

The 143 comprise 56 females and consisted of the second such handover across the Cambodia-Thailand Friendship Bridge at the Poipet-Khlong International Border Crossing.

Thailand military and provincial officials as well as representatives of embassies, consulates, officials of the Ministry of Labor and the Thai-Cambodian border relations working group witnessed the handover of the Thais.

This is the third such handover of illegal Thai workers from Cambodia.

183 illegal migrant workers deported, I wonder if they had any outstanding payment issues. It mentioned in the article that some earlier workers were tested positive for Covid-19, but no mention here, so hopefully all is well. With so many being deported back to their own countries it makes one wonder how they are going to fill their now past vacancies.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
