British Man, JOHN VALENTINE, Passed Away Before Reaching Hospital
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A 63-year-old British man died on 26 November 2021 at 12:10pm, after being transported from his rented room at an Indian Guesthouse, located on No. 56, Street 172, Village 4, Sangkat Chey Chumneas, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh, to the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.
According to the local police, the deceased was a British tourist named JOHN MARK VALENTINE, who was living alone in a rented room in the Indian Guesthouse on St. 172 since March 2020. The owner of the guesthouse said that the victim once told him that he had been suffering from liver disease for more than five years and was receiving regular treatment at the Khmer Friendship Hospital.
At 11:30 on 26 November 2021, the owner went to see the victim in his room and he saw that the victim was lying without strength and was looking very ill. The owner, Mr. Ravinder, then called a car to take him to the hospital, but because he waited too long for the car, he decided to call a tuktuk to transport the victim to the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital as fast as possible. However, by the time the British man arrived at the hospital, it was too late and he had already passed away.
Upon reporting the death, specialized police force arrived at the scene, to collect evidence to report to the Deputy Prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court to establish an autopsy committee to examine the body and the scene. Dr. Nong Sovannaroth, Medical Examiner of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court confirmed that "the victim died from a chronic liver illness".
The body is currently being kept at Wat Teuk Thla Mortuary, Teuk Thla, Sen Sok District, Phnom Penh. RIP, and condolences to friends and family.

My condolences to the family.
Please note the passport photo is used so that you are able to confirm this unfortunate news and if you contact a forum moderator they will change it to one more suitable if you send them one.
Also, the body is almost certainly being looked after by Evergreen Funeral Services

As they are based at Wat Teuk Thla. I would urge you to contact David (Dusty) Trevis (Evergreen) as soon as possible and he will guide you through the this difficult time.
