Cambodia - Reduced Quarantine on Arrival

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Can we take it from that ^^ that the land borders will be opened immediately (or soon) for foreign nationals?
At this stage land borders remain closed to entry of foreigners without prior authorisation from the relevant Ministries of the respective Countries, that is just standard wording regarding entry to Cambodia.

No mention of Forte insurance, would mean no need of insurance at all?

How safe are these notifications? I guess the travel agencies will take some days to update. Now i can only see this in CEO.

First hand reports from travellers who arrived today stated that officials were still requiring Foreigners to have the Forte Insurance policy, but there has been no official clarification yet.

The MoH Announcement is as official as it gets, but these changes often take days to actually filter down to where it is needed the most, airlines check-in staff.

Singapore airlines states that "printed copy of the hotel reservation confirmation" is required.

They also state that a minimum of 20 days of Forte insurance is required. Would it suffice to buy that even though I'm planning to stay 5 weeks? Asking because I already have travel insurance that includes covid.

Official Announcement released by MoH

With effect 15th November 2021, fully vaccinated travellers can enter Cambodia without requiring to undergo quarantine on arrival.

1. Passengers who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and arrive in Cambodia by air, sea or land must have the following:

– COVID-19 Vaccination Card/Certificate
– Pre-flight COVID-19 PCR test no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Cambodia.

Upon arrival in Cambodia, passengers will have a Rapid Antigen Test, and wait appx 15-20 minutes for the test results. If negative, the person is able to travel freely throughout Cambodia, regardless of region or province, and is not required to be quarantined

2. There are no changes to the entry & quarantine requirements for Travellers who are not fully vaccinated/unvaccinated.

3. Fully vaccinated travellers who are currently in quarantine will receive a Rapid Antigen test on the 15th Nov 21, and will be released from quarantine if tested negative.

No mention of the finer details for vaccinated travellers ie. Do they still require the Forte COVID-19 insurance policy? Hopefully the finer details will be clarified in an official directive.

not to go down a rabbit hole but on this link it says " Legitimate certificate of negative covid test 72 hours prior departure to camobdia from respective country"

I know @PSD-Kiwi def says its "arrival" but let me know if this is incorrect or just bad translation
