Murder Investigation: Dead Body found Hidden in Leaves (ARREST)
Cambodia News, (Stung Treng Province): An man's decomposing body was discovered in the forest covered in leaves, presumably in an attempt to hide the evidence. The deceased went missing on October 31, 2021, and his body was found by local people on November 2, 2021, at Borey Ou Svay Sen Chey district, Stung Treng province.
According to Mr. Thai Na, Chief of Koh Sneng Commune Administration Post, the victim was Phim Lean, male, 54 years old, living in Koh Kei Village, Borey Ou Svay Sen Chey District, Stung Treng Province. He continued: "Before the incident, the victim disappeared on the evening of October 31, 2021; relatives of the victim then became concerned and launched a search party."
The police confirmed that the man had been killed, and then hidden by cut branches in the bushes. The case is being treated as murder, and the authorities will continue to search for the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Man killed and robbed of his motorbike
The body of the man who went missing for three days was found on Tuesday in Stung Treng province’s Borey O’Svay Senchey district in what police said was a murder.
The body was found decomposed in a forest near Koh Key village, Koh Sneng commune. Police found the body at 12:40 pm on Tuesday.
Police identified the dead as Phim Loeun, 50 who went missing on October 31.
The family said that on the day of his missing, Loeun rode his motorbike and went fishing at a river near the mountain far away from Koh Key village. His bike was also missing.
Uk Moeun, chief of the forensics bureau at the provincial police, said that Loeun’s forehead was seen with bruises.
Loeun was attacked to death and his bike was stolen.

Cambodia News, (Stung Treng): On November 05, 2021, at the geographical point of Phnom Kambor along the Mekong River, O'Svay commune, Borey O'Svay Senchey district, Stung Treng province, one of the three men sought for murder has been detained by police.
The man was arrested in connection with a premeditated murder case, following the discovery of the dead body of a man in the bush in Stung Treng province, on October 31, 2021.
The three suspects are Thea Sophea, male, 24 years old (arrested); Seiha, Male, 28 years old, Ethnic Khmer, Living in Koh Kei Village, Koh Sneng Commune, Stung Treng Province, and one other man.
The arrested suspect confessed that the reason for the murder was because the three of them were angry with the victim because they accused him of using witchcraft to kill their father. The three men decided to kill the man and hide his body in the forest.
The other two suspects are actively being sought by the police.
