Cambodia News, (Battambang Province): Kas Krol police have confirmed that the body of a 40-year-old man's was found in the morning of August 31, 2021.
Some local people were out walking when they saw that someone had dug a pit in a clump of trees, so they went to have a look and reported their find to the authorities.

General Ek Pang Heang, police officer of Kas Krola district said that the body belonged to Yong Sarath called Tak, a 45-year-old man living in Prey Pengas village, Dunba commune, Kas Krol district, Battambang province.

The man's body was swollen, indicating that it had been there a few days, and there were signs of blows to the head and body, so police have opened a murder investigation. The Kas Krol police are now hunting for the killer with the assistance of officers from Battambang.

UPDATE: Deputy Police Inspector Arrested for Murder

Cambodia News, Battambang: A police officer has been been arrested for the murder of his brother-in-law, Yang Sarath, whose body was found half-buried in a wasteland in Kas Krol district on 31 August 2021. According to the authorities, the suspect has been identified as Dak Sokha, the Deputy Inspector of Koas Kralor District Anti-drug unit.

The victim was last seen alive in a car with his brother-in-law the policeman, Dak Sokha, on 28 August, then a few days later, his body was discovered by some local villagers on 31 August.
Two months later, after much investigation, police have finally arrested the Deputy Inspector of Koas Kralor district, charged him with murder, and taken him into custody.
