More Drunk Pistol Waving in a Phnom Penh Restaurant Last Night

November 2, 2021
Two drunkards arrested after brandishing firearms
A run-of-the-mill alcohol gathering turned potentially deadly after two men pulled out their pistols and caused panic at the restaurant.

This happened at around 12 a.m. on November 2. The gathering took place at a restaurant called “Viren” located at the corner of Street 474 and 101 in Sangkat Boeung Trabek, Khan Chamkar Morn.

The two men were happily drinking at the restaurant until they were visibly inebriated. In a drunken stupor, both of them pulled out their pistols and caused panic in the restaurant.

Quickly, after both men brandished their firearms, police from the district arrested them. When they were both led out of the restaurant by the police, still visibly drunk. During their arrest, police confiscated the pistols as well as a Lexus car, before sending both of them to the police inspectorate.
