My advice is give it a few months for them to fix the inevitable teething issues.
Re: Windows 11: To update or not to update that is the question
I upgraded and started having issues with my wifi. It would randomly act as if there was no internet. I assumed it really was my internet for a long time until I started testing it on my other laptop and phone whenever it happened, which were both fine, so I'm guessing Windows 11 messed with the wifi drivers. I have uninstalled them, reinstalled them, even reinstalled Windows 11 from scratch and still the same issue.
I went back to Windows 10.
I went back to Windows 10.

I'm definitely waiting a while. It would suck if some apps aren't compatible yet, and I don't even know of any huge benefits for switching.

Re: Windows 11: To update or not to update that is the question
I would if i had a spare pc or a media pc here. Win 11 has some nice features... especially Android on wsl and full cuda (gfx) on wsl.
Don't want to risk it on my main work machine. Not yet anyways.
Driver support needs to catch up.... Unless you're running Microsoft specific hardware like the Surface Pro, in that case.. go right ahead as those are the specs the developer teams tested on.

There are reports that computers with AMD processors experience up to 15% slower speeds when certain games are being played. Even after an update: https://www.theverge.com/2021/10/13/227 ... ance-worse
We don't know what other bugs will surface. I am waiting for a good 3 months. Or longer.

Thanks for the replies everyone. You have confirmed what I have read when searching for info about potential pro's and con's with upgrading to Windows 11.
I am not against the idea and I am sure it will be fine once they sort a few things out.
So leaving for now.
Of course, if any new info becomes available or anyone has installed it and things it's the bee's knee's do let me know.

I won't be in any hurry.
