Today's MOWRAM weather report for the next few days:
Weather Forecast: Rainfall and Gusts Expected This Week
AKP Phnom Penh, October 12, 2021 --
More rainfall is expected throughout the country this week, along with gusts and high waves in some provinces from Oct. 13 to 15.
The new weather forecast was announced by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) this morning.
The provinces of Pailin, Pursat, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Speu, Kandal, Takeo and Prey Veng, and Phnom Penh capital would face gusts, while the coastal provinces: Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, and Kep would experience gusts and high waves.
The ministry thus called on people to increase their vigilance of the above-said natural phenomena.
For the temperature, the same source pointed out, it would vary between 22 and 31 degrees Celsius for the provinces in the central lowland areas, and from 21 to 31 degrees Celsius for the provinces next to the Dangrek mountain range and highland areas in the northeast.
For the coastal areas, the temperature would range between 22 and 30 degrees Celsius, said MOWRAM.

Flood report:
Cambodia, Flooding in Kampong Speu Province (13 Oct 2021)
DESCRIPTION
Cambodia: Evacuation of 45 families living within dam in Kampong Speu
The O’Kon Trom Dam in Kampong Speu province has been filling higher than usual causing 45 families who had built their homes inside the dam’s borders to be evacuated to emergency shelters.
Kampong Speu provincial Department of Water Resources director Cheap Horm yesterday said: “O’Kon Trom Dam is 200 hectares and was built during the Pol Pot regime. These families have lived there since 2002 and they never experienced a flood like this before.”
“Flooding can occur again next year in O’Kon Trom Dam, so authorities are suggesting people move to live on the dike after this flood because the dam capacity can contain more water now than before,” Horm said.
Phnom Sruoch district governor Horn Piseth said the continuous rains caused flooding of people’s houses forcing residents to evacuate.
Meanwhile, 250 hectares of rice were impacted and 14 hectares were destroyed by floods in Kampong Thom province. Now, farmers have restored the paddies affected by the floods.

Re: It's Cold ! Weather reports in the media.
Many moons ago, I survived 14°C in the early morning in Banlung. I feel your pain. (Didn't have adequate thermals, so wrapped myself in a blanket.) It's amazing how cold 14°C can feel when you are in Cambodia. Some people would think that quite pleasant.
