Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Let's not forget a significant number of those entering via the Sandbox were not in fact tourists but actually returning residents. I'm sure a read a figure of 50% left Phuket as soon as their quarantine ended so a very misleading representation of true tourist numbers.

i did not say tourists arrived< i said 45,000 ( actually read today 48,000+ ) Visitors arrived
i would bet more than 75% left phuket after 14 days, as the average stay in normal times is around 10 days/nights

to me, it doesn't matter if they were tourists, returning expats or returning thais that used the sandbox,
they all helped the economy an proved that if ur double vaccinated, ( i think less than 50 tested positive during their 14 day stay and most it was not on arrival, but after test 2, after being out and about in phuket) ur a save risk to entering the country
and that was the whole point of the sandbox!

I wonder are their ANY stats on the number of arrivals into Cambodia and quarantined that tested positive?
and these arrivals were not vaccinated up!!! Just tested

Wife originally booked to return to Thailand on 20th which is in 4 days time and will do the Phuket sandbox thingy. Upon hearing the news on Nov/1 no quarantine I’ve had her flight changed to Nov/1 arriving in Suvarnabhimbi airport.

As nothing has actually been officially confirmed yet, regarding any changes in current rules, does she have to book & stay 7 or 10 days in ASQ hotel quarantine, upon arrival in Bangkok on 1 November ?

She does have to follow the current rules in place, until they change

Sorry Yong, but the proposals have not been approved or published in the Royal Gazette. This ought to happen sometime between Monday and Wednesday this coming week. But be ready for some amendments. There are too many ministers and others who jabber in public just to hear their own voices.
