Foreigners Asking for Trouble

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Foreigners Asking for Trouble

Post by flying chicken »

The foreign visitors to Siem Reap from my observation is starkly and disturbingly different than it is a few years ago especially ones in their 20s. You don't jump onto a vacant tuk tuk while it is moving and try to hi five them to cool down the tension before jumping off in the middle of the road. You don't roll over the hood of a car at the stop light and think it is funny. You don't publicly put your hand into your driver t-shirt and waist. You dont provocatively dress and pass out on the pedestrian walks. You dont buy drug from people you barely know.

I would think all of those behaviors would result in a much earned beat down. But who exactly is publicly reaching their hands into their driver's pants and shirt?

You were envious of whom, the driver or the barang with their hands down his pants?
