selling $100 bills

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Any casino in shitsville would also have machines like that , but do they let “ you “ ( aka “ us “ )
in there and it would not be as easy to just do it as the eyes would be on your every move .
It’s a dilemna , I had a big stack of $2 bills i used to just pass out , but cashed them in during the amnesty
when they announced they were discontinue 1$’s & 5’s , ABA took about 20 of them ,
B4 ( shv) I put some dodgy 100’s in the CashIn machine to my account for somebody
who said the money changers won’t take them for some warpage from being wet .
but they called me back to collect them or they would deduct 10% off my account for 6 of them .
I went back and got them but it wasn’t hard to find someone in those days going back to cash them in .
Good money .
If I worked for the embassy and could use APO I would do it for fun .

friend moved some years ago from Sihanoukville to Koh Kong, with no ABA bank in Koh Kong at the time to transfer he withdrew some fundings $3000. When he went to deposit at a bank in Koh Kong $2000 of the money was marked with ether small tear or casino marks. The bank gave him $80 for every $100 deposited.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

There are money changers around Olympic Market who will take these at a discount - I was reliably informed by my old colleagues that there is an operation there where a few folks will collect these until they've got their airfare/expenses covered & scuttle off to the USA to cash them in & turn a tidy profit & a cheeky vacation all in one. Try some of the Ly Hour/money exchange folks down that way who can probably point you in the right direction.

Wow, no offense but you really take the biscuit when it comes to incoherent posts. You're the Burger King in Siem Reap guy. We get that. 8)

hi richard, i had a similar problem here in Patong, with some 500 euro bills, and i found out on youtube: superglue, and iron them, i just put a hot coffee on top of it, and indead, it was as new, no more problems, but of course i went to an other place to change it, the lady who refused it, would probably remeber me !!
