Do you have any links about the enslavement or raiding partys I can't find any info online?
Zhou Daguan wrote about this.
Not in the late 1800s he didn't. Henri Mahout went to visit some of the minorities, but I don't recall him mentioning enslavement of them, although slavery was common in Cambodia at the time, however I may have forgotten.

I never said anything about him writing in the late 1800s. Why mention Henri Mahout when you don't even remember what he wrote?
Bitte was talking about the late 1800s, and Kohker was asking about it. Read the posts, before you post your own, Bingham! Mahout did write about slavery, and the minorities, so anyone interested can investigate in the link. Just trying to be helpful! 8)
Ernest Lagree mentions it during the Mekong Expedition of 1866+ (a great book by Osborne outlines it). Seems like Stung Treng was a starting point to most of these raids, though Kratie was also sort of "off the grid". Not sure about the scale of these operations, it probably wasn't on a grand scale or anything, but it does appear that it was still a thing into the mid to late 1800s.

Keep in mind the French tried hard to abolish slavery and Norodom basically side stepped them for years until finally relinquishing.
