Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On September 29, 2021, at 12:30 pm a 77-year-old German man, SPIEKER JOACHIM, was found dead in a rented house #37E0z on street 118, village 11, Sangkat Phsar Thmey 1, Khan Daun Penh.

According to the first witness, a 57-year-old French doctor of the Paramet private clinic, the victim was a lone traveller who had stayed in the rented house over six months. On September 8, the victim went to the Paramet clinic to treat his liver cancer. On September 29, at 9:00 am the doctor went to the victim's place to treat him personally as scheduled. However, the victim's condition deteriorated very quickly which triggered a alarming drop of his blood pressure and he passed.

According to the second witness, a 38-year-old woman, Ong Vannlin, the wife of the victim's close friend, the victim had suffered from liver cancer for a long time, and he was usually treated by two personal doctors. On the day of the incident, they received a message from the doctor informing them that the victim has passed, and they went to check and called the authorities to the perform the autopsy and report his death.
The autopsy confirmed that the deceased died from the liver cancer and the body was kept at the Teuk Thla pagoda, Khan Sen Sok.

RIP and condolences to those who knew him.
