Cambodia News, (Kandal province): A case of intentional violence caused by a bus driver was reported on September 12, 2021 at 9:30am on National Road 6 in front of Say Sreng house, Koh Roka village, Prek Anchanh commune, Muk Kampoul district, Kandal province.

Suspect's name is Nhim Sam Oun, male, 40 years old, Khmer, Occupation: Bus driver, Residence: Dak Po Village, Sangkat Slor Kram, Siem Reap City, Siem Reap Province.
Exhibits seized: 1. A red Hyundai bus with license plate Siem Reap 3A-2275 and 2. A hollow brick with a crack and a blood stain.

Police said that on the day of the incident, the suspect, Nhim Sam Oun, was driving a red Hyundai bus with registration number Siem Reap 3A-227 of the Sun Sun Company, carrying passengers from the bus stop of Phsar Doeum Kor in Phnom Penh to Siem Reap on National Road 6.

Arriving at Prek Ta Mak Bridge at 9:30 a.m., the bus driver slowed down to the righthand side of the road, and at the same time, a motorbike carrying two men drove off in front of the bus.
Seeing this, the suspect blew the horn to avoid the victim, but the motobike driver could not avoid, so he drove the motorcycle in front of the bus, raising his hand and making gestures at the bus driver. This enraged the bus driver, who stopped by the motorbike, opened the car door and kicked the victim's motorcycle.
The victim, Kai Sophat, then hit the suspect, who picked up a brick and hit the victim on the back of the head. The motorbike passenger, Sroeun Sophea came to the rescue, but he was hit four times by the suspect with the brick on the left side of his head, causing blood to flow. The man was knocked down, and then the two victims hit the suspect in the mouth and ear.

Seeing that, the passengers in the bus came down to help stop the fight, but the suspect drove away, so the victim called the police to help stop the bus. At Chroy Metrey Leu village, Russey Chroy commune, Muk Kampoul district, Kandal province, the police stopped the bus, and sent the suspect and the bus to the police station of Muk Kampoul district for questioning.

The wrong example shown by someone whom is serving the public, again egomaniac because he drives a large vehicle, might has the right on the roads of this country. But this driver also put his ego into a full-blown act of road rage and armed violence against the users of the smaller vehicle.
When will this type of attitude be stopped by that of law, also the simple considerations towards the pedestrians and smaller vehicle drivers? So many lives can be saved by an act of common sense and awareness to the vulnerability of other road users.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Yeah sure but at the same time, isn't it big and red enough for people to notice ?
The guy has to slalom beetween fuckwits who have almost no understanding of how traffic works while managing to avoid potholes, kids, goats, and crazy barangs on bikes or worse....
Don't break the bus driver's balls : he carries up to 60 people, so move away from his front bumper seems a good advice...It's painted red anyway, just in case...

It must be exhausting and very frustrating sometimes, and i'm sure any of you had the fantasy to hit a few twats here and there.
I'm sure that was a very satisfactory moment. Not too sure about after that though...

You’re naivety is showing, why would you assume the bus driver isn’t a fuckwit with no understanding of how traffic works? You think it’s only them who has to navigate around potholes and kids etc?
In my experience, the bigger the vehicle the worse the driver is for driving right up people’s arses while blasting their horn, demanding that motos should drive into a ditch just so their bus can pass them
The fact they have up to 60 people on board should make them drive more responsibly but it doesn’t, after all why should they, they’re bigger than everybody else, and if and when they do kill some poor bastard, they can just run off into the fields.
