Sword Fights Disturb Public Order in Battambang

Cambodia News, (Battambang Province): On Saturday, September 4, 2021, Officer Ek Sok Sarin, has prepared the transport of two groups of youths to the district court. They were arrested for sword-fighting and public violence.
The district headquarters announced that on the night of September 03, 2021 in Sangkeva village, Battambang, 2 groups of youths comprising of 13 people in all, attacked and chased each other in the streets with swords and long knives. This alarmed the locals, who called in the police.

Out of these 13 people, two of them escaped before the police reached the scene, but the police have already identified them, and they will be detained.

but no report of any injuries or deaths, are the weapons just for show mainly ?

It should be easy to quickly do some serious damage with those blades
