Baby Coconut Tree Thief Caught Red-Handed

Cambodia News (Kandal Province): At 4:00 pm on September 1, in Prek Pang village, Koh Khael commune, Sa'ang district, a 19-year-old man whose name's Eourn Ho, called Ly, was arrested and accused of stealing 6 baby coconut trees from a plant nursery run by a 39-year-old man, Khlong Lyhov.

According to the police, the shop owner was fast asleep, when all of a sudden he heard the dogs barking and the sound of a moving motorbike driving out of his shop. He immediately went to check his belongings and found out that 6 baby coconut plants were missing.
He then jumped on his motorcycle to chase the suspected runaway motorbike with an attached cart.

The suspect realized he was caught, so he stopped his motorbike and attempted to escape on foot, but failed. He was nabbed by the owner and was subsequently arrested and detained for further investigation by police.
