Cambodia News, (Ratanakkiri Province): A pregnant woman gave birth on National Road 78 while her husband was driving a motorbike to the health center at the border between Trapeang Chreis and Trapeang Krahorm communes, Kon Mom district, Ratanakkiri province on the morning of August 27, 2021.

Heng Srey Neath, a 23-year-old Cambodian woman living in Village 3, Trapeang Krahorm Commune, Kon Mom District, Ratanakkiri Province, gave birth on the road without reaching the Kon Mom district health center.

Sources said that at that time, the villagers also ran to save the baby girl, and the commune and district authorities immediately ordered a team from the health center to go to the scene and help. When the ambulance arrived, they took the mother and the newborn to the Kon Mom District Health Center immediately and both mother and baby are safe and sound.

The parents thanked the commune authorities and the medical team who came to the scene to save the mother and baby.
