That was a number of 70 dissatisfied Chinese nationals assembled outside of the gates of the Chinese Embassy, how many more Chinese that were not protesting on the 19th are in the same situation. Two representatives of the crowd allowed to get answers too that of their overall problem, only to be told that the Embassy (not unlike many other country Embassy's) could not offer them any help with returning back home, but giving them advice too arrange their travel itineraries ‘reasonably.’
On hearing the response from the Embassy officials, the displeased crowd then clashed with security personnel at the gates of the Embassy. More scuffles occurred between police and protestors has the protestors were being moved three blocks away from the Embassy.
I think in reflection if indeed the scuffling did occur, then the police were more sympathetic too the situation of the protestors needs. Bottom line is no essential travel in the light of the pandemic situation, even with the repatriation of its own people.
The situation opens many other questions about Chinese nationals on the travel out of there own country, and indeed the return back after the compulsory quarantine in place for them, now too be left stranded far from home. But, here too we have a country that are so confident of their own Covid19 vaccines, they promote it so, that one vaccine is being donated and the other sold, both offerings give protections against the virus. But clearly there is some worry in there denial to let their own people return to their homeland. True or not, if Covid19 was released or manufactured for the need of upsetting the world trades and economies, it may just be returning to bite back to its source.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
