The guest house owner said that the Swiss man has been living in his rented room for a number of years. He was quiet and kept to his room except when he went out to buy food.
When the Swiss man didn't leave his room for 1 to 2 days, then the neighbors became suspicious and looked inside the room where they saw the victim sleeping on his bed and not responding to their calls. The door was locked so they called the police to come and check on him.
Officials certified that the man had passed away, and the next morning at 8am the medical team conducted a post mortem examination.
Doctors concluded that the victim died of a chronic respiratory disease (asthma), based on the medication found in the bedroom.
The technical police commissioner of Kompong Chhnang province has informed the Switzerland ambassador in Cambodia.
RIP
