Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A two-day operation, on August 6-7, 2021, led to a large-scale drug haul under the direct command of Lt. Gen. Thet, Deputy Commissioner and Capital Police Commissioner; a Chinese man was arrested with more than 10 kilograms of drugs and some 6 kilograms of suspected drugs in Phnom Penh.

On the night of August 6, 2021, at 4:00am, the patrol force of Chamkar Mon District Police Inspectorate patrolling at the roundabout of Phsar Doeum Thkov, Street 430, Group 17, Village 3, Sangkat Phsar Doeum Thkov, saw the suspect named Fang Silong, a 21-year-old Chinese man riding a red McClellan motorcycle. When he was stopped and searched by police for looking suspicious, the officers found five packets of white powder in a black backpack. The suspect, along with exhibits, was brought to the Chamkar Mon District Police Inspectorate for procedural questioning.

After questioning, police took the suspect, Fang Silong, a Chinese national, to search his residence at the condominium of Boeung Tumpun Residence, Sangkat Boeung Tumpun 2, Khan Meanchey. The officers found a large stash of all kinds of drugs, total weight of about 10 kg, and also seized about 6kgs of other suspected substances, including dextrose.
